    Project Introduction:

    This project integrates a 10MW/20MWh lithium iron phosphate energy storage system with a 100,000 kW wind power installation, forming a robust wind energy storage solution. Strategically located on the west side of the booster station, the system connects to the 35kV busbar through a dedicated 35kV line. It uses a prefabricated container-based design, housing two energy storage units—each rated at 5MW/10MWh. For every 2 x 5MWh battery compartments, the system pairs 1 x 5MW PCS boost integrated machine, optimizing space and efficiency.

    This project enhances grid flexibility by providing critical ancillary services, including peak shaving and frequency control. Engineers designed the system to perform reliably in extreme low-temperature environments, using advanced thermal simulation techniques. They also reduced the heat transfer coefficient of the containers to improve insulation and efficiency in harsh climates.

    By stabilizing output from intermittent wind power, this system boosts microgrid reliability and supports clean energy integration. The project showcases innovation in high-efficiency, containerized wind energy storage at utility scale.
