    Project Introduction:

    Located at an altitude of 4,500 meters, this PV storage system project integrates a 6MW/24MWh energy storage solution, accounting for 20% of the total capacity of the photovoltaic system. The system includes six individual 1MW/4MWh units, all connected to the grid via a 35kV line and linked to a 35kV busbar. Successfully incorporated into the regional power network on November 25, 2023, the project demonstrates the reliable operation of large-scale PV storage systems in high-altitude, low-pressure environments.

    To address the unique challenges of the location, engineers adjusted electrical clearances to meet the creepage distance requirements under reduced atmospheric pressure. The equipment adopts a reduced-capacity operation strategy, optimizing performance and enhancing system stability. This strategic approach enables effective peak shaving and supports the development of a local microgrid.

    The combination of photovoltaic generation and energy storage allows the system to efficiently store excess solar power and release it during peak demand periods, improving grid resilience. This project showcases how PV storage systems can function reliably even in harsh environments, offering scalable solutions for remote regions and reinforcing the role of clean energy in building modern, sustainable power infrastructure.
