Project Introduction:
The project spans 10,643.4 square meters and delivers a total capacity of 90MW/180MWh, providing ancillary services, peak shaving, and enhanced grid reliability. The team constructs it in two phases. In the first phase, the team installs 30 units of 3.34MWh DC containers and 16 boost inverter integrated cabins. In the second phase, the team deploys 12 units of 3.35MW/6.7MWh energy storage systems with lithium-ion battery packs. A 220kV booster station connects directly to the 220kV side of the Xiangbei Wind Farm booster station via a single 220kV transmission line.
The project features an advanced energy management system that adopts a master/slave control structure. This setup ensures fast, coordinated, and accurate response across all storage units, enabling the project to deliver unique performance within the power grid. The energy management system plays a central role in optimizing system operation, managing peak power regulation, and supporting demand-side response.
By enabling primary frequency regulation and improving peak shaving capability, the energy management system enhances grid stability and power quality. It also helps address regional power shortages and supports the efficient use of renewable energy. Through intelligent control and real-time coordination, the system maximizes performance, ensuring a stable and resilient energy infrastructure.
