SynVista Marks Clean Energy Milestone with Malaysia Launch, Philippines Seminar
2025-07-08
SynVista Energy has announced the upcoming launch of Malaysia’s first international energy storage manufacturing facility in Selangor—marking a major milestone in Southeast Asia’s clean energy journey.
To celebrate this announcement, SynVista hosted the SynVista Energy Storage Full Lifecycle Summit: Delivering End-to-End Solutions from Planning to Operation at JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur on 1 July 2025. Tengku Laksamana Selangor Tengku Sulaiman Shah Alhaj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Alhaj, Honorary Chairman of SynVista Energy, officiated the summit. Other distinguished guests included Zalina Zainol, Deputy CEO of the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA); Ir. Justin Sim, President of the Malaysian Photovoltaic and Sustainable Energy Industry Association (MPSEA); and Owen Chen, Chairman of SynVista Holdings.

Pioneering Southeast Asia’s Clean Energy Supply Chain
The Selangor manufacturing plant, now under construction, will achieve an annual production capacity of 5GWh by end-2025. This facility will anchor SynVista’s regional supply chain, create high-value employment opportunities, and support Southeast Asia’s clean energy transition through advanced battery storage solutions.
“This is more than a regional presence—it’s a transformative leap forward,” said Owen Chen, Chairman of SynVista Holdings. “Malaysia offers the ideal ecosystem for clean energy innovation, and SynVista is proud to pioneer energy storage manufacturing in Selangor.”

Extending Regional Collaboration to the Philippines
Following the Malaysia summit, SynVista extended its regional impact by hosting a high-level seminar in the Philippines to further promote clean energy collaboration across ASEAN. SynVista hosted the SynVista Energy Storage Full Lifecycle Seminar in Manila on 3 July 2025, bringing together top energy experts, policymakers, and industry leaders to accelerate the adoption of battery energy storage systems in the country.

Mr. Ping Mendoza, President of the Philippine Photovoltaic and Storage Energy Alliance (PPSEA), opened the seminar with a message on the importance of regional synergy in advancing renewable and storage solutions. Following his remarks, Edward V. Neri, OIC-Division Chief of the Solar Energy Management Division at the DOE-Renewable Energy Management Bureau, presented the keynote titled “Renewable Energy Development in the Philippines.” In his talk, Mr. Neri highlighted the critical role of battery storage in enabling the country’s shift to clean energy.
