SynVista provided energy storage system for an integratedwind-solar-storage project in a extremely cold region
2025-01-08
On January 1, 2024, a 1 million-kilowatt-scale integrated wind-solar-storage project was connected to the grid, with SynVista providing a 30MW/60MWh battery energy storage system.
SynVista provided a complete lithium iron phosphate (LFP) ESS solution for the project. The site experiences extremely cold winters, with temperatures reaching as low as -41°C (-41.8°F). To address this, we implemented a series of insulation measures. The energy storage containers were insulated with thickened rock wool panels. Low-temperature-resistant materials were used for door panels, sealing, and protective components. And key electrical components and insulation materials were selected to meet the requirements of low-temperature (-41°C) .
The project was put into commission in January 2024 and has been operating fault-free for a year. It is well-suited to meet the needs of similar scenarios in higher-latitude regions such as Europe and North America, ensuring the safe and stable operation of ESS projects in extremely cold conditions.
