Summary: Efficiently completed the 90MW/362MWh project connection, overcoming new challenges for large-capacity projects in a plateau environment.

On August 2, SynVista’s 90MW/362MWh project in Golmud, Qinghai, successfully connected to the grid. This project represents SynVista’s largest capacity project to date and marks another significant achievement in the plateau energy storage sector following the company’s success with the Cuomei project in Tibet.

Efficient Timeline, Achieving SynVista Speed

The project team completed the installation and commissioning of all equipment in less than one and a half months. Power was successfully returned to the grid on July 30, and the project connected to the grid on August 2. From the arrival of the equipment to grid connection, the entire process took just two months, showcasing SynVista’s strong capabilities in production, manufacturing, and project management.

The Company’s Largest Plateau Project

Located more than 3,000 meters above sea level on the Gobi Desert in Qinghai, the project faced harsh environmental conditions, one of which is frequent sandstorms. SynVista overcame numerous challenges by providing comprehensive solutions tailored for energy storage projects in Qinghai’s unique environment, ensuring reliable operation through rigorous product testing and validation, and successfully connecting its largest capacity project to the grid.

First Self-Implemented EMS System, Rapid Commissioning

This project implemented an energy management system (EMS) independently for the first time. The entire processes were completed in only 25 days, such as line laying, changes to communication points with various manufacturers, vertical encryption and installation, firewall installation and debugging, as well as grid connection. The EMS system not only accommodates data from different manufacturers’ PCS and transformer stations, achieving a total connection capacity of 135MW/540MWh, but also represents the site with the largest data volume among all SynVista’s projects, with 1.3 million measurement points. This exemplifies SynVista’s industry-leading level in technological R&D and system integration.

The successful grid connection of SynVista’s Golmud project will effectively alleviate the challenges of power export bottlenecks in the region and significantly enhance the capacity for renewable energy consumption. The project will also provide robust support during peak electricity demand periods, strengthening the regional power supply capacity and system flexibility, improving the efficiency of transmission and distribution facilities, and contributing to the energy development and power security of Qinghai Province.
