Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia — As Malaysia accelerates its transition toward energy independence and carbon neutrality, SynVista Energy made a strong impression at the International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition and Conference Malaysia (IGEM 2025), held from October 15 to 17 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).

Recognized as Malaysia’s largest and most influential green technology event, IGEM 2025 gathered policymakers, utilities, and innovators from across Southeast Asia to explore advanced clean-energy solutions and foster sustainable growth collaborations.
Leading with Local Manufacturing Strength
A highlight of SynVista’s participation was its 5 GWh manufacturing plant in Jeram, Selangor — one of Malaysia’s first large-scale facilities dedicated to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
While many industry players still rely on imported systems, SynVista’s localized production capability enables faster project delivery, tighter quality control, and comprehensive technical support within Malaysia.
The Jeram facility positions SynVista as a strategic enabler of Malaysia’s domestic energy-storage supply chain, supporting national goals of energy resilience and industrial decarbonization.
“Malaysia’s new BESS regulation is a clear signal that energy storage is becoming the backbone of renewable integration,” said SynVista Energy’s Executive Director, Peter Phang.
“With our local manufacturing base and intelligent system capabilities, SynVista is ready to support the nation’s vision for a reliable, low-carbon, and self-sustaining energy future.”

Supporting Malaysia’s New BESS Policy
IGEM 2025 coincided with the Government of Malaysia and Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) introducing new requirements that make Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) mandatory for C&I (SELCO) customers with grid-connected systems exceeding 72 kWp, sized at a minimum of one hour of PV capacity (X kWp PV → ≥ X kWh BESS). Both AC- and DC-coupled systems are permitted.
SynVista showcased its C&I Energy Storage Solutions, integrated with the company’s Energy Storage Cloud Platform as well as partner EMS systems, ensuring high interoperability and intelligent O&M performance.

Positive Market Response and Strategic Engagements
SynVista’s booth drew strong interest and positive feedback from C&I developers, EPC firms, and renewable operators seeking locally supported, regulation-ready BESS solutions for photovoltaic integration.
Live demonstrations of SynVista’s smart O&M platform and localized service network also sparked discussions with potential partners in project development, component manufacturing, and system integration, reinforcing SynVista’s role as a trusted collaborator in Malaysia’s renewable-energy landscape.
Advancing a Smarter, Greener Malaysia
Through participation in IGEM 2025, SynVista reaffirmed its commitment to enabling Malaysia’s energy transition through smarter, safer, and locally built storage systems.
With regional engineering expertise and a global O&M network, SynVista continues to deliver end-to-end energy-storage capabilities — from project development and system design to OEM/ODM manufacturing and intelligent O&M — driving Malaysia’s clean-energy transformation forward.
