With the theme of “Building an Interconnected and Sustainable Energy World”, the 17th Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) was held in Singapore from October 21st to 25th, 2024. The event is hosted by the Energy Market Authority (EMA) of Singapore and is a leading global energy discussion platform in Asia, dedicated to providing opportunities for energy professionals, policymakers and commentators to share best practices and solutions in the global energy sector.

This International Energy Week includes a series of activities such as the Singapore International Energy Agency Ministerial Forum, the Singapore International Renewable Energy Agency Senior Forum, and the SIEW Energy Insights Forum. Energy ministers or deputy ministers from different countries, ambassadors of some countries to Singapore, local business people, as well as industry leaders from globally renowned companies and power companies, such as Saudi Arabian National Oil Company, Shengke Group, Google, Huawei, Mitsubishi Electric and Geely, participated in this Energy Week event, delving into key themes such as international energy cooperation, breakthrough technologies, and innovative financing strategies.

Liu Yanling, Senior Minister of Trade & Industry and Culture, Community & Youth Affairs of Singapore, visited the booth

Chen Shengjun, SynVista Chairman delivered a speech titled Practice and Exploration of Renewable Energy Development at the SIEW Energy Insights Forum on October 23, sharing multiple topics such as global trends in renewable energy development, the role of flexible resources in the rapid growth of renewable energy, and SynVista’s practice and exploration in energy storage power plant development.

Chen Shengjun, SynVista Chairman delivered a speech

Chen Shengjun stated that in the past five years, the renewable energy industry has developed rapidly, but also faced challenges in balancing intermittent power generation with grid stability, as well as the issue of absorbing high-quality green electricity from wind and solar resources. Energy storage and power conversion technology (PTX) are considered as solutions. SynVista has successfully deployed multiple energy storage system projects in recent years, and its core capabilities such as energy storage manufacturing and system integration have been recognized by the market.

During this Energy Week, SynVista also presented a 20 foot DC container with a single compartment capacity of 5MWh, further showcasing its cutting-edge achievements in the field of energy storage technology.
